Teetering on the brink of a Size 16 one day, Donna McVey decided enough was enough. Leaving a transatlantic career in hospitality management behind her, she began training with Ray Watts and Stewart Mackinnon at Premier Global; an innovative company specialising in producing highly trained, fitness professionals and sports therapists.
It was there that she learnt the hidden arts of nutrition, motivation and exercise that would turn her back into a size 8. Donna McVey understands from experience that this is not something that happens overnight but, if you put yourself in her hands, she will help you make the transition towards a healthy & fit body and stay that way.
Since the age of 14, Donna has been a keen student of positive psychology and in her adult years she has attended many workshops and training courses in this field. Prior to her current career Donna worked for many years in hotel and business management. She has a solid background in delivering training in motivation, team building, positive communication and effective negotiation skills.
Following graduation in May 2002, Donna set up ‘Your Personal Best’ & ‘Your Corporate Best’ and was very quickly established as one of the most innovative Professional Health & Fitness Trainers in Scotland. She also gained valuable clinical experience working freelance for a busy Chiropractic Clinic in Glasgow.
Over the last 5 years she has formed an alliance with other fitness professionals and personal development coaches. Having access to quality associates ensures she can guarantee delivery of a first class service at any level.
In 2005 Donna became a licensed practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming and Hypnosis. NLP is a highly effective methodology based on the principle that all behaviour has a structure that can be identified, learned and changed. Trained by the creator of NLP, Richard Bandler and the well known hypnotist Paul McKenna, this is clearly one of her most valuable skills, giving Donna the edge when delivering presentations and training to individuals and small or large groups.
Donna’s client list includes: celebrities, many high profile business people, competitive amateur athletes; she is also a regular contributor for BBC Radio.
